In this project I wanted to explore the shapes and colour we see in nature.  Too often we ignore what is close to us and the beauty in the everyday aspects of nature.  Cabbage B&W #1 is a homage to Edward Weston’s cabbage leaf work from the 1930’s. It is encouraging to know that the cabbage has not changed in 80 years and still photographs well.
